Chant de Bergeres / La Marchera

from Concerto di Natale by TRE MARTELLI

/

about

The shepherds are invited to adore the child but they are worried to leave their flocks unguarded. They are reassured: the newborn King will be a good shepherd for everyone.

The song was collected by Trouveur Valdotèn in Ayas (AO).
The following waltz is composed by Andrea Sibilio, inspired by the name of a farmhouse in Monferrato once inhabited by local “margari” (shepherds in charge of cattle care).
