Nadal dra paja

from Concerto di Natale by TRE MARTELLI

/

about

The “Christmas of the straw” is that of the stable, of the snow on the door, of the peace of the fields, of the sound of the bagpipe that drives away the devil and wakes up the sparrows sleeping in the haystacks.
The “Christmas of the straw” is that of the dream of a world of justice and love announced by the flowers of spring.
Chacho (Vincenzo Marchelli) sang these unpublished poem by Giovanni Rapetti inspired by the traditional Piedmontese “strambotti” (“stranòt” in piedmontese language).
